Dosti, whenever this word comes in mind, the first reflection comes of the closest person we have.It may vary from person to person, and culture to culture, but the basic definition of the friendship is same and that is a beautiful bonding between two or more ,having a longevity of god knows for how many years, months,or days depends on the understanding and thought process.
We start making friends from the day one of our childhood,it may be with any one, either grand parents, cousins, neighbor's son or daughters ,and also with dog, cat,or other animals. It all comes from the inner self to whom to talk and to whom to keep in circle. In actual we start making a emotional fence around us which we think will keep us safe and secure. But as the time passes by we know each others differences, their good and bad habits.and there we make some reservations for them. And the proper learning of the environment, society, and human nature is nurtured from the same group of friends.
I still remember those days of my child hood how often we used to fight ,and then promise our self that we will not talk unless the person says sorry or,comes to initiate the talk, but at the end no one actually cared who came first. And the game after a pause used to get started. It was not the moment that matters rather it was the person who mattered the most.Fighting for toys,ice-creams,ride on the front sit of the scooter for viewing the road, and the most important making a house of our dreams on sand,it was just a matter of time that importance of that person in our life becomes a priority. Friendship at that time was not made on any criteria,it just happened,in reality those are the friends who in actual are the real friends we could ever make because they are nurtured to be your best pals.
And then comes the school life where,no of friend increases rapidly ,and during the course of time,it keeps changing its numbers either large or small. I dont know whether i am right or wrong,i think those who have spent their lives in hostel, has greater no of stories to tell, and remember then those living in homes.Because there you know so many people from morning 'breakfast to evening sleep, and there comes the real bonding, where we actually make a great friends where the proper judgment of true friendship is seen at the time of happy and sad moments.
Now at the college level too,the definition of friendship is same, just with time and maturity,we make friends depend upon need and situation.Size also matters, i.e these days close friends are limited, depending upon the time and situation
because the bonding level keep on decreasing such as some are smoke driven ,name driven, socially driven(eating,Riding,no of hot/cool girl/boy friends, and popularity etc).
In these stages of life too there is fighting (some time physical but most of the time verbal and mental) but here person's importance is lost rather moments becomes a prime factor, because its not driven by the love rather by the EGO of the person. Here also we start talking to the person but the attachment is either reduced or lost.
ONE of my best friend once told, that "You should never mind little little thing, because it breaks a very close relationship". But you can't even scape from it because its human nature we can just either ignore it or control it.
At the end of our college life we generally make lot many friends but as the time passes, the bonding keeps on decreasing, and only a few countable are left,to whom u actually didn't wanna lose forever. Its not because they are just friends, they become your life, they get every right to tease you, teach you, love you and hate you at the same time.
They make sacrifices just for the shake of one smile on your face, and have the ability to make you cry when u dint miss them. They makes us feel the importance of you and them. When something valuable is near us we won't care for it but when we miss that precious things we start feeling for it. That is friendship.
Love you ,miss you....
Now i can say
"..Jindagi ke kisi mod pe ek safar aaisa aayega jahan hamara sath hi manjil ko ek tarranum dega,
Thoda tum chal lena thoda hum chal lenge,.."'......
